Save Vs. Splurge

As always, this month’s “Save VS. Splurge”… bringing you some of my favorite products for every budget!

Eyes

EVERYTHING EYES:

Some of my greatest eye make-up discoveries…

1. EYE PRIMER/BRIGHTENER:

“SAVE” with Clinique’s Chubby Stick in Bountiful BeigeI use this is in the corner of my eyes and on my eye lids to prime and brighten. The chubby stick makes it easy to swipe on and it is a great shimmery, neutral color!

“SPLURGE” with Laura Mercier’s Metallic Creme Eye ColourI bought one tube of this and I swear it has lasted me for YEARS. I use my fingers to apply it to the corner of my eyes, eye lids, and under my brows. Great color & stays on for a long time!

2. MASCARA

“SAVE” with Loreal Voluminous Carbon Black. A great everyday mascara that goes on thick without clumping. I always have a tube handy!

“SPLURGE” with Benefit’s Roller LashOne of my favorite mascaras that actually shapes and curls your lashes for you (if you apply in an upward, rolling motion). Never clumps and it is one of my favorites!**

4. EYELINER

“SAVE” with Loreal Telescopic Precision Eyeliner. This is a great drugstore eyeliner with a firm, foam tip that makes it easy to create a nice, thick line.

“SPLURGE” with Laura Mercier’s Tightline Cake Eyeliner. Another product I have used for years. The best way to create that “winged” eyeliner look is to use a brush and eyeliner palette. You dampen the brush and swirl it around in the palette creating your own liquid eyeliner. Goes on extremely precise!

5. EYELINER BRUSHES

“SAVE” with Real Techniques Fine Liner Brush. If you prefer a finer line, then this brush is perfect for you! Also, you really can’t beat the price.

“SPLURGE” with Bobbi Brown’s Ultra Fine Liner Brush. Very versatile in the sense that you can create a super thick dramatic line or an ultra thin line. My number one recommendation!**

Hope this gives you some new ideas for the month of October–Happy Fall! Xx
