Keep on Shiftin’

Here is one of my favorite shift dresses from Urban Outfitters worn three different ways…

I buy a lot of dresses this style because there is so much you can do with them! Here are my top three ways to style this B&W patterned dress:

For my first look, I kept it simple & casual by adding a Lucky Brand plaid shirt around my waist with platform Birkenstocks–I am a huge fan of all things platformed right now.

This happens to be my personal favorite. I love putting a top on over a dress because it can completely change any outfit, which allows you to get more wear out of it. I paired it with another B&W Urban top, but this can be done easily with any dress/top combo as long as you pick a color scheme and stick with it.

This last look is probably what I do most frequently. If you have a few different solid colored skirts, then you can always tuck any type of short dress into it. I also think it is flattering to have something loose up top if you are trying to wear a more fitted bottom.

This ensemble felt dressier to me so I paired with some strappy black shoes & black clutch.

This is the first of my “outfit idea” posts because re-working your closet is the best way to get the most out of your clothes, and that’s what it is all about, right?
